A Bowling Green resident is the alleged victim of a concert ticket scam.

On Monday, Bowling Green police took a report of a Taylor Swift concert ticket scam.

The alleged victim told officers he contacted a “Jim Fakeman,” who said he was selling three Taylor Swift tickets, through Facebook on June 11, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The alleged victim told officers he purchased the tickets for $150.

The alleged victim transferred the money to Fakeman via Cash App to the username “$4theluvofshalyssa,” according to the report.

After that, Fakeman stopped communicating and did not transfer the tickets.

Attempts to call and text Fakeman were unsuccessful, but contact was made via email at “[email protected]” and during the conversation Fakeman said his real last name was Fred.

Dispatched located a James Fred in Dayton but there was no Jim Fakeman in Ohio, according to the report.

An attempt will be made to subpoena Facebook Cash App and Google for account information on the suspect.
