Bowling Green police recovered a vehicle reported stolen in Toledo.

On Sunday around 1:30 p.m., an officer on patrol in the area of Lehman Avenue and North Prospect Street observed a Kia Rio parked on the south side of the road in the 100 block of Lehman.

A check of the vehicle registration showed it as stolen out of Toledo, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The vehicle was unoccupied, unlocked and the steering column was broken, according to the report.

While at the scene, the officer was waived down by a Door Dash driver who said she was heading north on North Main Street behind the Kia when she saw it rear-ended at the Sand Ridge Road intersection. The Kia continued north, driving erratically, so she followed to make sure the driver was OK.

She told police she saw the Kia strike a curb and turn right onto Lehman Avenue. When the driver exited, she asked if he was OK and he responded that he lived across the street, according to the report.

As the Door Dash driver drove away, she looked in her mirror and saw the person walk south through the houses toward North Prospect.

Officers were unable to locate the man.
