BG man arrested for assaulting woman

A Bowling Green man was arrested for domestic violence and strangulation.

On Friday at 11 p.m., Bowling Green police were called to Fourth Street on a report of domestic violence.

The complainant said she got into a verbal argument with Jonathan Harris. He placed his right hand on her neck and cut her air off so she couldn’t speak, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Harris said that the alleged victim had slapped his face and showed the officer scratches on his neck and chest, according to the report.

Harris, 37, was taken to jail. Bond was set at $20,000.
