Thousands of toys featured at Rossford show

ROSSFORD — The Toledo Toy Show returns to Total Sports in Rossford on Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Over 200 tables will feature Nascar, Hotwheels, Star Wars, Matchbox cars, Tonka, Pez, dolls, trains, tractors, sports cards, slot cars, models, comics, tin toys, action figures, diecast trucks and cartoon characters.

Total Sports is located at 10020 S. Compass Drive. Admission is $5 per person with kids under 12 admitted free. Early-bird entry is available from 7:30-9 a.m. for $10.

The Toledo Toy Show is an expansion of a series of 10 shows held throughout Michigan featuring toys, antiques and other collectibles. Jerry Dorer, promoter of the show has hosted the toy shows for 19 years after experiencing the event as a vendor of diecast cars.

“The shows have really grown over the years,” said Dorer, noting that most shows sell out of exhibit space.
