More than $3,500 worth of property was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Troup Avenue Saturday.

Bowling Green police also took two additional reports Saturday of a man attempting to enter vehicles.

Police responded to the theft report at 12:40 p.m. and talked to the owner of a Chevy Silverado, who said sometime after 2:30 that morning, his Apple MacBook Air laptop and Hummingbird Helix 12 fish finder were taken from his vehicle.

He told police he had left his truck unlocked, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

He said he called anyone he knew who may have pulled an April Fools joke on him, but they all said no.

The laptop was valued at $1,000 and the fish finder at approximately $2,699.

The owner provided police with the serial numbers for both items.

A resident in the 800 block of Third Street told police Saturday she had a video of a man walking up to her car and grabbing the door handle. When he was unable to open to driver’s side door of the car, he walked away.

Another report was taken Saturday morning of a man on video unsuccessfully trying to open the door of a car parked in the 800 block of Second Street.
