Woman from Luckey indicted for drug trafficking

Eight people, including a woman from Luckey, have been indicted for trafficking drugs in the county.

A Wood County grand jury on March 15 indicted Michelle G. Komorny, 39, Luckey, for aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies. On March 1, 2022, she allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution of a bulk amount of methamphetamine.

Komorny was indicted again, with co-defendant Christopher Michael Stewart, 36, Findlay, for aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies. On May 2, they were allegedly found in possession of the bulk amount of methamphetamine and were preparing it for distribution.

Others indicted for drug trafficking include:

• Brandon Bragg, 26, Waterford, Michigan, was indicted for trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both second-degree felonies. On May 27, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution of more than 40,000 grams of marijuana.

• Gerold B. Middlebrooks, 53, Toledo, for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both first-degree felonies. On Feb. 17-18, 2022, he reportedly offered to sell less than 5 grams of cocaine that he was in possession of.

Middlebrooks was indicted a second time, for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both fifth-degree felonies. On June 23, he was allegedly found in possession of and was preparing for distribution at least 27 grams of cocaine.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• Corvez Hardin, 25, Louisville, Kentucky, for trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both third-degree felonies. On Dec. 16, 2021, he allegedly was found in possession of between 1,000-5,000 grams of marijuana and was preparing it for distribution.

• Nigel Darian Marine, 46, Cockeysville, Maryland, for aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both second-degree felonies. On Dec. 14, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution five times the bulk amount of methamphetamine. There are attached specifications for forfeiture of a Hyundai Elantra, two cell phones and $1,818 in currency.

• Corey James Freeman, 47, Maumee, for failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and having weapons while under disability, both third-degree felonies; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle; a fourth-degree felony; and trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both fifth-degree felonies. On June 26, he reportedly fled police after being signaled to stop. Once stopped, officers searched his vehicle and found him allegedly in possession of and preparing for distribution less than 5 grams of cocaine. Officers also found a loaded firearm that was accessible to the driver or passenger without leaving the vehicle. Freeman had been convicted of a felony offence in 2014 in Lucas County.

• Chance Raymond Behymer, 25, Marshall, Michigan, for trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both third-degree felonies. On March 16, 2021, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution between 1,000-5,000 grams of marijuana.

The grand jury also indicted:

• Carson Allan William Montz, 25, Toledo, for burglary, a second-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor. On March 12, he allegedly trespassed into an occupied structure with the purpose to commit the offense of menacing, and allegedly hampered or impeded the performance of a public official’s lawful duties.

• Micki Flora Delarosa, 38, Findlay, for aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony; and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. On May 4, he was found in what was allegedly identified as methamphetamine in an amount that exceeded five times the bulk amount, and allegedly conveyed drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• Michael L. Windle, 43, Toledo, for theft, a fifth-degree felony, and theft from a person in a protected class, a fourth-degree felony. On Oct. 25-26, he alleged deprived an elderly woman of $7,250

Windle also was indicted a second time on additional charges, which were grand theft, a fourth-degree felony; and theft from a person in a protected class, a third-degree felony. From Aug. 18-29, he alleged stole $8,750 from an elderly man.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• David Owen McKee, 54, of Flagstaff, Arizona, and currently in jail for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordinance, a third-degree felony. Between March 2-4, he allegedly broke into an unoccupied Bowling Green home and took 16 firearms that had an estimated value of $10,000.

• Latia Leshawn Birdlong, 28, Toledo, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On Jan. 17, she allegedly stole assorted fragrances from the Perrysburg Kohl’s. The value of the merchandise was $2,124.

• Scott Alan Marckel Jr., 30, Toledo, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On Sept. 26, he allegedly deprived a man of $2,000 in property or services without consent.

• Jose Natera, 33, Dayton, for possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of marijuana, a minor misdemeanor. On April 21, he allegedly was found in possession of a fentanyl-related compound and marijuana.

• Darnell L. Mays, 49, Toledo, for passing bad checks, a fifth-degree felony. From Oct. 31-Nov. 15, he allegedly defrauded a Bowling Green business of two checks payable to the company in the amount of $1,389.

• Delando Marquise Reynolds, 29, Lima, for two counts operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them/OVI, both fourth-degree felonies. On Feb. 21, he allegedly was found operating a vehicle while under the influence and with a blood alcohol level of at least 0.17. He previously had been convicted of four OVI violations, in 2021, 2017, 2014 and 2013, all in Allen County.

• Jonathan Ford, 45, Pickerington, for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. On Feb. 2, he was stopped on I-75 for a speed violation. A probable cause search of his vehicle uncovered a bag with 23.22 grams of psilocyn mushrooms.

• Brian Keith Brooks, 33, Maumee, for abduction, a third-degree felony, and aggravated menacing and assault, both first-degree misdemeanors. On Feb. 20, he allegedly restrained the liberty on a woman under circumstances that created a risk of physical harm to her or placed her in fear. He also allegedly caused her to believe he would harm her or her property and also knowingly caused or attempted to cause her serious physical harm. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• Co-defendants Justin Lantow, 34, and Jennifer I. Spire, 42, both of Montpelier, both for illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility and aggravated possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies; and possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. On Aug. 1, they allegedly were found in possession of buprenorphine and the bulk amount of methamphetamine and allegedly conveyed drugs into a detention facility.

• Amy S. Stone, 56, Perrysburg, for theft from a person in a protected class, a third-degree felony. On April 26, she allegedly deprived another woman of $15,000 without consent. The alleged victim with disabled, an active duty service member or a spouse of an active duty service member.

• Co-defendants Derrick Ramirez Ashley II, 19, of South Euclid and currently in jail, and Andre Deshaun Pugh Jr., 19, Maple Heights, for burglary, a second-degree felony, and two counts theft, both fifth-degree felonies. On Jan. 17, they allegedly trespassed in an occupied structure with the intent to commit theft. They allegedly took a credit card and debit without the owner’s consent.

• Michael Jeremy Artall, 48, of Toledo and currently in jail, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony. On Feb. 22, he allegedly caused serious physical harm to another man.

• Logan Howard Harrington, 19, Perrysburg, for abduction, a third-degree felony, and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Jan. 28, a woman went to the sheriff’s office to file a report that after asking Harrington for a ride home, he got upset, started driving at a high rate of speed and started talking about flipping the truck and killing them both. When another friend approached the stopped vehicle, Harrington alleged pointed a gun at her and at one point grabbed her wrist to prevent her from exiting the vehicle.

• Peter Anthony Lotzer, 37, Lima, for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. A woman in Allen County said she had last seen her 1996 Honda on Feb. 25 and that she had left her keys inside the vehicle. Lotzer was operating the vehicle at the time of a crash Feb. 26 in Wood County, after which he fled on foot. He was located a short time later and allegedly admitted to driving the vehicle.
