Toledo man arrested after allegedly pushing woman, fighting with another man

A Toledo man who was reportedly fighting in Bowling Green, pushed a woman and resisted arrest was taken to jail.

On Sunday around 12:20 a.m., Bowling Green officers were in the 100 block of North Main Street at a vehicle stop when they heard people yelling near a parking lot.

Upon arrival, one of the officers saw Santos Arriaga, 21, on top of another man, in a physical altercation, according to a Bowling Green Police Division report.

The officer pulled Arriaga off the man.

Another officer stopped the other man, later identified as a 24-year-old from Bradner, who was walking away. He told police he pushed Arriaga after seeing him push a woman to the ground, according to the report.

Arriaga reportedly started pulling away and resisting. He was highly intoxicated and slurring his speech, according to the report.

A 37-year-old woman told police she was walking on the sidewalk when Arriaga grabbed her and pushed her to the ground. Video footage corroborated her statement, according to the report.

Arriaga was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct/fighting and was taken to jail. He posted bond on Monday and was released.
