Man declines to file charges after reportedly being stabbed in BG

Bowling Green police on Monday responded to a possible accidental stabbing in the 600 block of South College Drive.

The alleged victim declined to press charges.

Witnesses at 7:30 p.m. told police they saw a woman exit her vehicle and start punching a man in the face.

The alleged victim was identified as a 20-year-old Bowling Green State University student.

He reportedly blood dripping from his right arm. When he took off his shirt, he discovered he had been stabbed in the shoulder, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The man was transported to Wood County Hospital.

The man told police he didn’t know he had been stabbed until he entered the apartment.

The man told police he did not want charges filed, according to the report.

A Wood County assistant prosecutor told the officer to send the case over for review.
