Mark L. Adams, age 74, of Portage, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green. He was born on February 5, 1949, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Glenn L. “Joe” & Dorothy M. (Smith) Adams. Mark married Connie Bechstein on October 17, 1970, in Portage.

Surviving Mark is his loving wife of 52 years, Connie; daughter, Tami Adams of North Chesterfield, VA; sons, Matt (Kelly Blickensderfer) Adams of Bowling Green, Michael (Nicole) Adams of Columbus; sister, Linda Foster of Portage; grandchildren, Isaac Uhlenberg, Rochelle Rawls, Christian Rawls, Ace Buchanan-Morgan, Austin (Kylee) Adams, Arika Adams, Noah Adams, Myah Adams; one great-granddaughter on the way, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Dorothy; father-in-law, R. “Chub” Bechstein; mother-in-law, Ilo Chapman; brother, David (Becky) Adams; brother-in-law, E. Larry Foster; and grandson, Michael Mark Adams.

Mark attended Westwood High School, was a 1967 graduate of Bowling Green High School, and then served his Country proudly in the United States Army National Guard. He worked at Huntington National Bank for many years as a Manager and Lender mainly at North Baltimore, Perrysburg, and Bowling Green locations. Mark was a member of the Rudolph Christian Church where he was very active serving as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the NRA, and a former member of the Bowling Green Rotary Club. Among many hobbies, he enjoyed hunting, golfing, volunteering at Stone Ridge Golf Club, traveling & going on cruises with his wife, and was an avid Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Browns fan. His greatest love in life, though, was spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Rudolph Christian Church, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Russ Teegardin officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the Wood County Military Detail. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Smith Scholarship Fund at the Rudolph Christian Church, or to the Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry.
