Perrysburg’s Kilbride named first team All-NLL

Perrysburg sophomore girls basketball player Chloe Kilbride was voted first team All-Northern Lakes League by the conference’s coaches.

Kilbride is joined on the first team by AW sophomores Brooke Bender and Elise Bender, Napoleon senior Sophie Chipps, Sylvania Northview senior Maddy Greene, and Springfield senior Kendall Carruthers. Elise Bender is the Player of the Year.

Perrysburg, 16-6 overall and 10-4 in the NLL, finished third in the league standings behind defending Division I state semifinalist and league champion AW (19-3, 13-1) and second place Springfield (16-6, 11-3).

Sylvania Southview (14-8, 8-6) finished fourth, followed by Northview (13-9, 7-7), Napoleon (9-13, 5-9), BG (6-16, 2-12) and Maumee (3-18, 0-14).

Perrysburg freshman Kallie Thames is a second team selection. She is joined by Springfield juniors A’Leah Hodges and Gretchen Sigman, Southview seniors Carys Bourbeau and Paige Brown and Northview freshman Grace Krahl.

Perrysburg senior Megan Gibbs and Bowling Green senior Jamie Sayen were voted third team.

Other third team selections include AW freshman Leah Pike, Maumee sophomore Lucy Porter and Napoleon sophomore Makayla Kruse.
