Patricia Marie Allen, age 85, of Bradner, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born on April 13, 1937, in Weston, Ohio to the late Donald & Chloedell M. (Richmond) Brown. Pat married Elden R. “Chesty” Allen on April 29, 1954, in Weston, and he preceded her in passing on December 10, 2006.
Surviving Pat is her children, Denise VanOsdol of Upper Sandusky, Becky (Barry Baker) Clary of Risingsun, Michael (Diane) Allen of Dandridge, TN, DeAnna Allen of Wayne, Don (Becky) Allen of Tombstone, AZ, Patty (Ed) Blachuta of Wayne; 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Chloedell; brother, Carlton Brown; and sister, Joanne Kramp.
Pat was a former member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 Auxiliary, a former member of the Bradner United Methodist Church, and in 2000, Pat helped start the group Timeless Treasures in Bradner. Among many hobbies, Pat enjoyed stained glass work, gardening, bird watching, canning, scrapbooking, crocheting, was an avid reader, and her greatest love in life was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 11 AM.
