Bradner man indicted for rape

A Wood County man has been indicted for rape and a Virginia man has been indicted for importuning.

A Wood County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Michael P. Stultz II, 32, Bradner, for three counts rape, all first-degree felonies, and gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony.

On Oct. 2 or Oct. 3, he is accused of having sexual contact with an individual who was 10 years old at the time.

Stultz is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a 12-year-old between March 22, 2020 and March 18, 2021.

He allegedly twice purposely compelled this individual to submit by force or threat of force between March 19, 2021,and March 18, 2022, when the individual was 13 years old, and again March 19, 2022, and Sept. 30, 2022, when the individual was 14 years old.

Zakori W. Satava, 30, Virginia Beach, Virginia, was indicted for importuning and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, all fifth-degree felonies.

From Feb. 22-March 23, Satava is accused of recklessly soliciting another by means of a telecommunication device to engage in sexual activity while at least four years older than the alleged victim.

The person whom which he was communicating was a law enforcement officer posing as a 15-year-old, according to the indictment.

During that time and again March 7, Satava allegedly offered to sell, deliver or furnish material or performance that was obscene to the person he believed was 15 years old.
