SYLVANIA — The Lourdes University Teacher Education Initial Licensure and Advanced Level Programs in the Division of Education have been granted accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, for a period of seven years, through 2029.
Previously, Lourdes University’s Teacher Education Initial Licensure Program was accredited under the Teacher Education Accreditation Council Quality Principles through the CAEP Accreditation System for a period that ended in 2022.
Lourdes education graduates are teaching in several U.S. states and in Canada. In its most recent report, 100% of 2021-22 education graduates successfully obtained teaching jobs.
The university offers the following CAEP accredited undergraduate and graduate Education programs:
Adolescence to Young Adult Education (BS)
Middle Childhood Education (BA)
Primary Education (BA)
Intervention Specialist Education Program: K-12 Mild to Moderate (BS)
Dual Elementary Education Program with Dual Licensure in Special Education Pre K-5 (BA)
Educational Leadership (MEd)
Special Education (MEd)
