If you love jazz, join the Wood County District Public Library in the Atrium on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. for the Simon Metzger Quintet.
The quintet will perform modern interpretations of jazz standards as well as some original compositions. Performers include: Will Scheider, horn; Allan Landgraf, alto saxophone; Miles Anderson, guitar; Dylan Bretz, bass; and Metzger, drums.
The library is located at 251 N. Main St.

Read to therapy dog Benny during Paws for Reading
Kids can practice reading with the help of Benny the therapy dog at the Wood County District Public Library.
Families can schedule a 15-minute appointment during Paws for Reading every Tuesday from 4-5 p.m. in Meeting Room A&B at the Bowling Green library.
The program starts Jan. 3.
Benny is a registered therapy dog and visits many organizations around the community. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about therapy dogs and to inspire a love of reading at a young age.
