On Monday, December 5, 2022, Marjorie Rose Hertzfeld, of Waterville, Ohio, passed away at the age of 91. Marjorie was born to Louis Napierala and Mary Napierala (Urbanski) on April 6, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio. She grew up in Berkey, Ohio with siblings, Roger, Robert, Norbert (Pete), Betty, Frank, and Charlotte. She graduated from Burnham High School in 1949.

Marjorie was dedicated to her loving family, her faith, and her community. Marjorie married her husband, Richard, in 1951. Marjorie and Richard raised ten children, Bonnie, Don, Larry, Mary, Mike, Theresa, Cathy, Richard, Kevin, and Joe, on their Waterville farm, creating a loving and close family that would go on to span four generations in Marjorie’s lifetime. Marjorie was a generous and loving person that gladly welcomed family, friends, and community members into the fold of her life. She shared her love of flowers, creativity, sports, and caring for children, by teaching and encouraging her loved ones. Marjorie’s deep faith was shown in her involvement of over 72 years of the Saint Patrick Church Providence, in Grand Rapids, Ohio.

She is survived by her siblings Betty Lemle, Charlotte Nash, and Frank Napierala, ten children, Bonnie (John) Hanifan, Don (Linda), Larry (Dawn), Mary (Art) Alexander, Mike (Kim), Theresa (Mark) Simon, Cathy (Dan) Ransberger, Richard (Laura), Kevin (Deborah), and Joe (Carrie), 38 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard Hertzfeld, parents, Louis and Mary Napierala, brothers, Robert, Roger, and Norbert (Pete) Napierala, and grandsons, Taylor, Christopher, and Joshua, and great grandson, MJ.

Visitation will be held at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Road, Waterville, Ohio, 43566 on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Scripture Reading at 6:45 p.m. Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Saint Patrick Church Providence, 14010 Old U.S. 24, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522. She will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery alongside her husband.
