PERRYSBURG – First Watch has brought its daytime dining concept to the city.
The 3,765-square-foot location, which features an expansive dining room, dedicated to-go entrance and covered outdoor patio and bar, is located at 10630 Fremont Pike, Suite 4, and employs 30 people.
“We first opened the doors to our Toledo restaurant more than five years ago and it’s been such an incredible journey ever since getting to connect more neighbors to our brunch classics and specialties, in the neighborhoods beyond the city,” said David Gaines, vice president of operations. “First Watch’s fresh take on brunch feels right at home here in Perrysburg, where riverside parks and historic landmarks meet to give this area a unique sense of adventure and comfort. We’re proud to join this hometown community and look forward to serving up unforgettable brunch moments for many years to come.”
To celebrate the opening of the new Perrysburg location, customers who dine in-restaurant during its first five days in business will receive free coffee with their meal. The first 120 customers to visit the new restaurant will also receive a custom, reusable travel mug.
First Watch’s curated menu takes an elevated approach to traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings that are made to order using only the freshest ingredients.
Some of its most ordered items include Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes.
The concept also offers a revolving seasonal menu, following the sun to source the highest quality ingredients, wherever and whenever they are in season, which has included items like the Crab Avocado Toast, Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast, Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash and Watermelon Wake-Up fresh juice.
All year long, First Watch serves an array of fresh juices, made from quality fruits and vegetables, as well as award-winning Project Sunrise coffee, which supports independent groups of female farmers in Colombia.
The restaurant will also feature cocktails with fresh juices like the Vodka Kale Tonic (gluten-free vodka, fresh juiced kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber and lemon) and signature creations such as the Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk (coconut rum, cold brew coffee, coconut milk and agave nectar).
During its pre-opening Friends & Family event, First Watch raised more than $1,200 to support the You First Fund, a charitable fund established in May 2020 to support the concept’s employees and their immediate families experiencing significant financial hardship in times of crisis with direct assistance.
In the wake of the destruction caused by Hurricane Ian, First Watch contributed $100,000 to assist employees in Florida who have been affected by the storm. To date, the fund has granted more than $800,000 in tax-free grants to cover immediate needs such as rent and mortgage, utilities, food and groceries and childcare.
