Seth J. Shaner, 40 of Luckey passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2022 at home. He was born on January 4, 1982 to Terry and Kathleen (Hamilton) Shaner, in Grove City, PA. He was a member of the graduating Class of 2000 at Elmwood High School. On October 7, 2005 he married Elisha D. Jacobs in Luckey, OH. Seth and Elisha have 2 children and have celebrated 17 years of marriage together.
Seth worked as a Supervisor for DOWA T.H.T America in Bowling Green since 2004. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing. A do-it-yourself handyman, he could fix just about anything. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them. Seth loved being a dad and Elisha’s husband. Everything he did and worked for was always for his family.
In addition to his wife Elisha, Seth is survived by his children: Trenton and Grace Shaner. Mother, Kathy Edwards, father, Terry Shaner, brother, Terry “TJ” (Heather) Shaner Jr., of Eaton, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He
was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Postlethwait, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Family and friends will be received 10- 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022 with a memorial service at 11 a.m., at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St, Luckey, OH. Rev. Peter Johnston will be officiating. Interment will be in the Troy Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of contributions to: The family c/o Elisha Shaner.
