David W. Bowling, of Northwood, and formerly of Stony Ridge, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Parkcliffe Community, Northwood, OH. David was born February 9, 1943 to Wesley and Jennie (Idzik) Bowling in Toledo, OH.
As a special-needs adult with a gentle soul, David was often seen riding his three-wheel bicycle all around Stony Ridge. Since he was a welcomed member of the community, David helped his neighbors, friends, and family by providing pet care and gardening services as well as collecting the mail from the Post Office. David was an avid Elvis Presley fan, enjoying his music and movies. He enjoyed crafting and was known for his homemade Christmas tags recycled from old Christmas cards. He loved his sweet treats like candy and Coke, but especially enjoyed getting a Coney dog and chocolate malt from Pee Wee’s Ice Cream.
David is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister Diane Stang and his caretaker sister, MaryAnn Ward.
