National Alliance on Mental Illness Wood County NAMI Wood County is hosting the annual fall fundraiser called AfterBurn on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Wood County Fairgrounds.

This family-friendly event will include a variety of activities that all community members can participate in, including:

· Trunk or Treat and Community Resource Fair

· Kid-Friendly Games and Activities

· 4-Person Team Relay Race

· Chili Cook-off

· Recovery Celebration

· T-shirts and Food

Proceeds for the event will go toward programming that NAMI Wood County provides to Wood County residents free of charge. There will also be opportunities to donate to the Wood County First Responders Support Team (Wood County FiRST) at the Chili Cook-off.

Community members can choose to participate in as much or as little of the event as possible. Registration closes on Monday and is available on www.namiwoodcounty.org/afterburn.

Even if participants plan to just come for the free Trunk or Treat portion, NAMI Wood County requests that participants still pre-register. Those who pre-register will be entered in a raffle to win a prize at the end of the evening.

Visit www.namiwoodcounty.org/afterburn to learn more about sponsorships and volunteering.

NAMI Wood County is also continuing the NAMI Connections support group. Other support groups, like Peer and Family, have been moved to the Perrysburg Counseling Center. All support groups are now in person. Visit www.namiwoodcounty.org for more information and to register for their programming.
