Road work changes waste route for Luckey site

LUCKEY — Due to road work on Ohio 582, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin utilizing an alternate
route for shipping loaded containers of waste from the Luckey site.
The Corps has worked with the Ohio Department of Transportation to develop an alternate route for the
loaded trucks leaving the site for the disposal facility in Michigan.
Trucks loaded with excavated soils will now leave the site and travel to the disposal facility using
Interstate 280 and Interstate 75. This designated route is primarily for trucks with loaded containers
of waste traveling from the site to the disposal facility.
Trucks returning to the site with empty containers will generally follow the same route but may deviate
based upon traffic conditions or if they are coming to/from the trucking company yard. Trucks delivering
empty containers must still follow designated truck routes that meet weight limit requirements.
