Walker shoots 82 on day 1 of state golf tournament

Bowling Green’s Trey Walker shot an 82 on day one of the Division I state golf tournament at Ohio State
University’s Scarlet Course Friday.
Walker, tied for 30th, will play his second and final round Saturday morning.
St. John’s Jesuit’s Jack Mancinotti shot 71 in the opening round to take a five stroke lead into day two.

Perrysburg’s Erica Fastnacht dropped her opening-round tennis match, 6-0, 6-1, to Cincinnati Sycamore’s
Alexa Abele in the Division I girls state tennis tournament.
The Yellow Jackets’ doubles team of Kennedy Northcutt and Camryn Kiel fell 6-2, 6-0 to Lakota East’s
Paige Silverberg and Maddy Mueck in the first round of the doubles tournament.
