Ohio election officials say voting going smoothly

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio election officials say voting seems to be going smoothly throughout the state.

With just under eight hours to go before polls close in Ohio, Secretary of State Jon Husted’s spokesman
says there haven’t been any major issues reported in any of Ohio’s 88 counties.

Spokesman Matt McClellan says official voter turnout figures won’t be available until polls close.

Most of the state saw dry weather as voting kicked off Tuesday morning. McClellan said polls opened on
time at 6:30 a.m. without incident, and said election officials are hopeful polling sites will continue
to operate smoothly throughout the day.
