More underage alcohol citations issued in BG
Three people were cited for underage alcohol sales Saturday through Sunday in Bowling Green.
Cited were:
•    Kathy Brunett, 58, Perrysburg, at Mike’s Party Mart, 834 S. Main St.
•    Carrie Brunt, 22, Bowling Green, at Shots Inc., 163 E. Wooster St.
•    Allec Thewes, 21, Bowling Green, at One 49 North, 149 N. Main St.
Power outage near Millbury
MILLBURY – A power outage just north of the village reportedly affected more than 1,600 Toledo Edison
customers early this morning.
Hans Rosebrock, a media representative for First Energy, indicated the outage was reported at 4:42 a.m.
at Ohio 51 and Ayers Road. The cause was a downed primary power line.
Crews were sent out and power was restored to all customers by 6:30 a.m.
Injury crash near Scotch Ridge
SCOTCH RIDGE – One person was taken to Wood County Hospital Saturday following a crash on Ohio 105 east
of Silverwood Road, southwest of the village.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 7:15 a.m. Michael Kaufman II, North Baltimore, was
eastbound on Route 105 when he crossed the center line, drove off the left side of the road, and struck
a telephone box post.
Kaufman reported possible injuries and was taken to the hospital by Pemberville EMS.
He was cited for failure to control.
CPR, AED class offered
PERRYSBURG – The Perrysburg Fire CPR Training Center will hold a Heartsaver CPR and AED class at the Way
Public Library Sept. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The class will cover adult, child, and infant CPR with choking and AED use. The cost is $45 and will
include a card for certification. The class could be useful for teachers, child care workers, and
coaches.
