Margaret L. Kelly, age 96, of Wayne, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday (July 20, 2014) in Bowling
Green, Ohio.
She was born on December 12, 1917 in Risingsun, Ohio to the late C.J. and Carrie Marie (Waters) Stahl.
Margaret married Robert W. Kelly on April 26, 1940 in Bowling Green, Ohio; he passed away on August 4,
1983.
Surviving Margaret are daughters, Patricia (Ray) Myers, Bonnie Blue, both of Wayne, Ohio; sister, Janet
(Pete) Stahl Shrider of Villages, Florida; grandchildren, Brenda (Joe) Majdalani of Perrysburg, Ohio,
Rebecca Myers of Zurich, Switzerland, Kelly Myers of Merritt Island, Florida, Debra (Larry) Fruth of
Columbus, Ohio, Tricia (Bryan) Cavins, Melinda (Dan) Keller, both of Bowling Green, Ohio, Michael Hague
of Wayne, Ohio, Kathleen (Jeremy) Roever of Glen Allen, Virginia; great-
grandchildren, Tara, Connor, Trevor, Patrick, Lucas, Lauren, Gabriel, Grace, Joseph, John, Emma, Brigid,
Chloe, Sean, Mitchell, Sidney, Serina, Kaysie, Matthew, Courtney, Brooklyn; great-great-grandchildren,
Micah, Elijah, Olivia.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, C.J. and Carrie Stahl; loving husband of 43 years, Robert;
brothers, Glenn and Skip Stahl.
Margaret was a 1935 graduate of Montgomery High School, and then earned a Secretarial Degree from Tiffin
University.
For many years she worked as a farmer, homemaker, and was the bookkeeper for Stahl Oil Company.
Margaret was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church, was a trustee on the Wayne Library Board, and
was a member of the Fostoria Women’s Club. She was a former member of the Wayne Band Boosters, former
president of the Wayne PTA, and a former volunteer at the Wood County Hospital.
Among her many hobbies, Margaret enjoyed playing cards with friends, dancing with her husband, Robert,
and cooking. Her specialty was homemade noodles.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (July 23, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne,
Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday (July 24, 2014) at 11 a.m. with
Pastor Mark Kuhlman officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Elmwood High School Marching Band.
