Ohio University
Ohio University is recognizing the academic achievements of its students by publishing the 2013-14 spring
semester dean’s lists.
Local students making the list include Josh Barringer, North Baltimore; and Steven Witt, Mollie Whitacre,
Hannah Wheeless, Elizabeth Rimmelin, Ryan McPherson, Ehrin Lingeman, and Jacob Kinder, all of
Perrysburg.
Terra State Community College
Students receiving academic honors and named to the dean’s list at Terra State Community College for the
spring semester have been announced. These students have met the college requirements for this honor by
carrying 12 or more credit hours and achieving a grade point average of at least 3.50.
Kenneth Elsner, Aubrey Milligan and Melissa Shell, Bowling Green; Troy Shire, Custar; Brandon Beining,
Tracy Bullock, Tara Conner, Kathryn Ford, Jennifer Hershey and Tracy Margraf, Fostoria; and Antony
Knisely and Adam Williams, Risingsun.
Ohio Wesleyan University
Ohio Wesleyan University has announced the following local residents earned recognition on its spring
semester dean’s list. To qualify, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0
scale in all applicable classes.
Local students include Mariah Bockbrader of Bowling Green, Kelsey Gallaher of Perrysburg, and Justin
Overhulse of Bowling Green.
University of Mount Union
The following students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of
Mount Union: Taylor Bishop of Fostoria and Chelsey Morlock of Bowling Green.
To be eligible, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework
while achieving a grade point average of 3.550 or better with no grade below a B.
Denison University
The following local students were named to Denison University’s spring dean’s list: Kristine Mallinson
and Kaitlin Pohlman of Perrysburg.
Students who achieve dean’s list status have maintained a grade point average of 3.7 or better (out of
4.0) for the semester.
Huntington University
Huntington University has announced the students that were named to the dean’s list for the spring
semester.
Blake Hughes of Rossford made the list.
Honorees must be classified as regular students, be enrolled full-time with a load of 12 hours or more in
graded courses, and must achieve a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Georgia Institute of Technology
Danielle Hunt of Rossford made the dean’s list for spring semester at the Georgia Institute of
Technology.
This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the
semester.
Capital University
Capital University has announced its honors lists for the spring semester.
The president’s list indicates the highest level of academic distinction achieved among full-time,
degree-seeking students. To be named to the list, students must have achieved a grade point average of
at least 3.85.
Shayna Hague of Perrysburg earned this honor.
The provost’s list recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of at least 3.70.
Colleen Fondessy of Fostoria and Benjamin Jensen of Millbury earned this honor.
The dean’s list recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5.
Emily Hatfield of Risingsun and Anna Schaeffer of Perrysburg earned this honor.
