PERRYSBURG — “Mamma Mia!” is set to hit the stage Thursday at Perrysburg High School.
Over 100 students make up the cast, company, technical crew and orchestra.
“Mamma Mia!’ is under the co-direction of Rob Gentry and Kent Vandock, along with accompanist Nicole
Spadafore, choreographer Clark Ausloos, instrumental director Michael Smith and assistant scenic
designer Perry King.
In the production, Sophie (Kylie Morgan) is ready to marry her fiancée Sky (Grant Hayward), except for
one thing — she has never met her father and wants him present for the big day. She invites three men
that she discovers in her mother’s diary and believes to be candidates. But when they all arrive,
Sophie’s mother Donna (Grace Davis) becomes distressed.
As Sophie, Sky, Donna, her friends (Natalie Ondrus and Paige Paprocki) and the three potential fathers
(James Bellavia, Bennett Bernhoft and Andrew Hogle) prepare for the big day, emotions run high.
Through the catchy score of ABBA chart-toppers, the hilarious and touching tale of daughter, mother and
would-be dads crescendos to an exhilarating finale celebration.
“Mamma Mia!” will be performed Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., May 4 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and May
5 at 2:30 p.m.
