Register now for women’s club breakfast
GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will hold its annual May Breakfast meeting on May 11 at 9:30 a.m. at
First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road.
It will kick off the upcoming 100th anniversary of the club, with the morning’s program featuring a
fashion show representing decades from the 1920s to the present. GFWC State President Linda Crish will
be present to install newly elected officers for the 2019-20 year. Four casseroles, fruit bowls, juices,
Marilyn Reiwaldt’s homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee and tea will be served.
Reservations should be made by today by sending check for $10.00 made payable to Women’s Club of Bowling
Green, Attn: Lynne Comings, PO Box 693, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
President Mary Boone and members will begin the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, after which Norma
Stickler will provide the day’s inspiration. Chairwomen Evelyn Bachman and Jo Sipes, along with social
committee member Debbie LeGalley will serve as hostesses. Donna Schmidt will present the music
scholarships and LeGalley will present the Non-Traditional Women’s Scholarships. A brief business
meeting to plan upcoming club projects will follow. Evelyn Bachman and Kay Heffernan will share news
about Garden Group and Literature Group projects. Kathy East and Barbara Applebaum will update
information about the 37th annual Writing Contest. The morning concludes with the recognition of
outstanding members through the We Are All Wonder Women Award and the recitation of the GFWC Collect for
Clubwomen.

Pancakes served in Bradner
BRADNER — Bradner Cub Scout Pack 343 will hold a pancake breakfast on Sunday at the Albert Bowe American
Legion Post, 209 W. Crocker St., from 7 a.m.-noon.
The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Breakfast include pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs,
coffee, juice and milk.
Quilters meet in Findlay
FINDLAY — Ohio Star Quilters of Findlay will meet on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church,
1701 Tiffin Ave. The day begins with the business meeting followed by Show and Tell. Anyone interested
in quilting is welcome to attend.

Come to community dinner
RISINGSUN — St. Paul United Methodist Church, 126 Union St., will hold a community dinner on Tuesday from
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
On the menu is beef and noodles with mashed potatoes, salad bar, pies and a drink.
Donations will be accepted.
