James Eddington picked up a win for Bowling Green, but the Bobcats were downed 4-1 by Springfield on
Tuesday.
Eddington nearly swept his match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory for BG in No. 3 singles.
Erik Schempf fell in No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0 and Dom Meszaros dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision in No. 2
singles.
Mitchell Drumm and Luke Konecny were topped in No. 1 doubles, 6-0, 6-4. Hayden McCracken and Jack Devine
lost No. 2 doubles 6-1, 6-2.
SOFTBALL
Elmwood 13, Lakota 2
BLOOMDALE — Jill Hannah, Makenna Benschoter and Kayla Minich combined for nine hits and five RBIs in
leading Elmwood past Lakota 13-2 in five innings on Tuesday.
Hannah and Minich — who doubled — each had three hits and a pair of RBIs for the Royals. Benschoter, who
earned the win in the circle, had three singles and an RBI.
Chy Cluck and Madison Hoiles each had a pair of hits for Elmwood.

Bowling Green 11, Fremont Ross 1
FREMONT — Lexi North and Quinn Beeker combined to allow just one hit and Bowling Green capitalized on
eight Fremont Ross errors to earn an 11-1 nonleague win on Tuesday.
North struck out seven batters across four innings to earn the win for the Bobcats (5-3).
Erin Spangenberg led BG with three hits and Kylie Foster drove in a pair of runs.

Lake 8, Swanton 5
MILLBURY — Mackenzie Mickens racked up seven strikeouts across six innings in leading Lake over Swanton
8-5 on Tuesday.
Abbie Rymers and Natalie Patrick tallied three hits apiece to lead the Flyers (3-4). Patrick also knocked
in a game-high four RBIs.

TONTOGANY — Amelia Simpson and Brynne Limes each drove in a run as Otsego shut out Wauseon 4-0 on
Tuesday.
The Knights (6-2) pumped in three runs in the second inning and Shelbey Spurlock spun seven scoreless
innings with 10 strikeouts.

ROSSFORD — Evergreen pushed eight runs across in the second inning and held on to stump Rossford 13-1 in
five innings on Tuesday.
Rossford (4-3) had three errors to just two hits in the loss.

TOLEDO — Rossford rallied with six runs in the seventh inning to edge Toledo Start 9-5 in Tuesday’s
nonleague game.
Dillon Prater — who tossed a complete game for the win — and Brice Harmon both drove in two runs for the
Bulldogs (3-3).
Prater, Logan Reiter and Collin Jiannuzzi each had a pair of hits for Rossford.

ELMORE — Eastwood swept both the boys and girls competitons at Tuesday’s triangular with Elmwood and host
Woodmore.
The Eagles’ boys racked up 101 points to beat both Elmwood (39) and Woodmore (35). The girls scored 90
1/2 points to top Elmwood (41.5) and Woodmore (39).
Eastwood won 11 events in the boys competitions with Erik Fertig winning both the shot put and the discus
throw. Fertig tossed a 52-10 in the shot and reached 154-00 in the discus.
The Eagles’ girls won eight events led by Jamie Schmeltz winning the 100 and 200, while combining with
Staci Bienko, Brianne Kwiatkowski and Hannah Limes to win the 400 relay.
