All invited to Family Fun Night
A Family Fun Night to raise funds for the Cocoon will be held April 13 at First Christian Church, 875
Haskins Road, from 6-8:30 a.m.
Play bingo with white elephant prizes. There will be snacks and sandwiches available for purchase.
Lenten lunch moves to St. Luke’s
NORTH BALTIMORE — A Community Lenten Lunch will be held Wednesday at noon at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church,
215 N. Second St.
There will be a spiritual devotion before lunch. There is no cost for the meal.
Church hosts From Death (Row) into Life
SYLVANIA — A Catholic priest and a man who was exonerated from Ohio’s death row will present their real
life experiences with the flaws of the criminal justice system in From Death (Row) into Life on April 12
at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 5411 Main St..
The evening begins with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. followed immediately by the talk by Neil
Kookoothe and Joe D’Ambrosio. Kookoothe is a native Toledoan and a Catholic priest, lawyer, nurse, and
advocate for the social justice issue of wrongful conviction. With help from Kookoothe, D’Ambrosio was
exonerated from Ohio’s death row in 2012 after spending 22 years in prison for a crime he did not
commit.
