TOLEDO — Tied at three runs apiece through three innings, Bowling Green’s offense erupted in the latter
half in rallying for an 11-5 win over Toledo Notre Dame on Wednesday.
Katie Devine racked up three hits and three RBIs to lead the Bobcats. Quinn Beeker and Brooke Mannin each
had a pair of hits.
Lexi North punched out five batters across five innings to earn the win for BG. North, Mannin and Beeker
each doubled at the plate.

ROSSFORD 19, TOLEDO WOODWARD 2
ROSSFORD — Rossford pumped out 11 first-inning runs and torched Toledo Woodward for a 19-2 win on
Wednesday.
Hannah Pierce racked up three hits in four innings to lead the Bulldogs (2-0). Paige Kromenacker drove in
drove in a game-high three runs.
Val Swope and Zoe Hussar combined to strike out nine batters across five innings. Hussar led with five
punchouts in three frames.

BASEBALL
EASTWOOD 7, OAK HARBOR 5
OAK HARBOR — Gavin Slattman capped a superb game with a big-time swing in extra innings to propel
Eastwood over Oak Harbor 7-5 on Wednesday.
Slattman, who went 3 for 4, knocked in the game-winning RBI in the eight inning. Andrew Arnston supported
Slattman with a pair of hits — including his first career base-knock — and an RBI.
Caleb Peters tossed the final three innings and nabbed his first career win for the Eagles (2-0).

ELMWOOD 6, CARDINAL STRITCH 2
BLOOMDALE — Noah Veryser rattled off 10 strikeouts and helped lead Elmwood over Cardinal Stritch 6-2 in a
late game on Tuesday.
The Royals (1-1) scored three in the second inning in nabbing their first win of the season. Elmwood had
three hits, but capitalized on six Stritch (0-1) errors.

BOYS TENNIS
Bowling Green’s boys tennis team was swept on Tuesday and Wednesday in a pair of nonleague matches.
Bryan downed the Bobcats 5-0 on Tuesday. Dom Meszaros had the best match of anyone in BG’s lineup,
falling 7-5, 6-2 in No. 2 singles. Erik Schmepf nabbed a game in No. 1 singles, while Mitchell Drumm and
Luke Konecny combined to win one game in No. 1 doubles.
James Eddington was swept in No. 3 singles and Hayden McCracken and Jack Devine were swept in No. 2
doubles.
Eddington did win the Bobcats’ lone game in a 5-0 loss to Findlay on Wednesday. The rest of the lineup,
which remained the same as Tuesday’s, was swept by the Trojans.
