TOLEDO — Free Family Center activities at the Toledo Museum of Art are designed for children up to the
age of 10 accompanied by an adult. The Family Center is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday,
3:30-8 p.m. on Friday and noon-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Let it Snow
Feb. 1: 3:30-8 p.m.
Feb. 2: noon-5 p.m.
Inspired by the weather outside your window and works of art in the collection, create a wintry work of
art.
Tangram Mosaic
Feb. 3: noon-5 p.m.
Feb. 5 and 7: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Feb. 8: 3:30-8 p.m.
Feb. 9: noon-5 p.m.
Explore the sights and sounds: art, nature, and the senses, and create a tangram mosaic puzzle using
geometric shapes.
Love Letters
Feb. 10: noon-5 p.m.
Feb. 12 and 14: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Feb. 15: 3:30-8 p.m.
Feb. 16: noon-5 p.m.
Create a watercolor postcard that you can send through the mail to someone you love.
Fabric Fun
Feb. 17: noon-5 p.m.
Feb. 19 and 21: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Feb. 22: 3:30-8 p.m.
Feb. 23: noon-5 p.m.
Search the galleries for fiber art and create a work of art using fabric.
Family Center Guest Artist: Kathie Pertcheck
Feb. 22: 6-7 p.m. Meet guest artist Kathie Pertcheck who loves sewing and will help you create an easy,
fun project.
Inventions
Feb. 24: noon-5 p.m.
Feb. 26 and 28: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Create your own inventions inspired by the book “Hedy and Her Amazing Invention” by local author Jan
Wahl. Join in March 2 for a parade through the museum and book reading and signing.
