Reel Opinions presents ‘Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like’
PERRYSBURG z— On Jan. 17 at 2:00 pm, WGTE and Way Public Library present a screening of the documentary
“Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like,” hosted by Michael Keaton.
The show celebrates “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” the pioneering children’s series that premiered
nationally 50 years ago. Celebrities, cast members and Joanne Rogers reveal their favorite memories from
the series.

Perrysburg Symphony launches chamber series
PERRYSBURG — The Perrysburg Symphony with Music Director Travis Jurgens will present a series of three
chamber music concerts featuring symphony members at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave.
The new series brings chamber music masterpieces to Perrysburg in January, February and March.
The first of three concerts is Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and includes Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio no. 1 in d
minor with Elaine Moore, piano, Sarah Magoun, violin, and Jim Anderson, cello and Dvorak’s American
Quartet with Adam Murphy, and Thomas Moody, violins, Ben Martz, viola, and Lao Cho, cello.
Tickets may purchased at www/perrysburgsymphony.org or at the door. Adult tickets are $15, seniors are
$10, and students with identification admitted free. The church is handicapped accessible, and there is
ample parking.
See ‘The Old Curiosity Shop’
PERRYSBURG — Way Public Library’s Reel Art International and Art Film Series continues on Jan. 18 at 7
p.m. with a free screening of “The Old Curiosity Shop.”
Dickens’ classic novel is brought to life with an all-star cast including Sophie Vavasseur as Little Nell
Trent and Derek Jacobi as her doting grandfather. Virtuous and brave, orphan Nell Trent does what she
can to help her careless grandfather, whose gambling addiction has led to the loss of his shop and a
debt to the villainous Mr. Quilp that he is unable to pay. After fleeing under the cover of night, Nell
and her grandfather set out on a harrowing trek through the English countryside, meeting a collection of
eccentric and shadowy characters as they try to stay a step ahead of their pursuers. Adults only/In
English/93 min
The film will be shown in the Mercy Health Family Activity Room at Way. Admission is free and open to the
public. Refreshments will be served.
