Joint service set for Haskins
HASKINS — The Haskins Community Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church will celebrate a joint worship
service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1705 Middleton Pike (Ohio 582), one mile west
of the village.
It is preceding Week of Prayer for Christian Unity which is Jan. 18-25. There will be a joint choir for
this worship.
Pastor Jenny Jackson is preaching “Dearly Beloved” and Pastor David Bliss is the liturgist. There will be
a Fellowship Hour for the public after the worship.
CSI to meet Jan. 22
PERRYSBURG — CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, sponsored by Perrysburg United Methodist Church, invites
all seniors in the area to attend its next meeting to be held Jan. 22 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar
Drive. The event is held twice each month from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Elder Dennis Miller of Hope Community of Christ Church. Lunch
is served at noon, provided by Kingston.
The program that follows will be “How to decorate a float for the Rose Bowl Parade,” by Audrey Palumbo.

Seniors should call Phyllis Morton at 419-872-0846 for information and reservations, which need to be
made by Thursday.
Soup and Salad served Sunday
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in
the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.
Donations will benefit Salvation Army and Lutheran Indian Ministries. The menu includes cream of broccoli
and chicken noodle soups, cold sub and sausage sandwiches, along with a variety of salads and desserts.

‘Game Night’ returns
First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road, is holding another Game Night on Jan. 19 from 6:30-9 p.m.
The return of this event is open to all age 16 and over and is free of charge. The public is invited to
attend for snacks, pizza, as well as a variety of cards and games. No reservations necessary.
Organizers say “bring a friend or make a new one.” The venue is handicapped accessible.
Corn Hole event set
RISINGSUN —Risingsun First Church of God will hold a Corn Hole Tournament on Jan. 19. Registration will
be from 4:30-5 p.m. with play beginning at 5 p.m.
There is a $20 entry fee per team which consist of one male and one female. The children’s event is for
those in sixth grade and younger and is $5 per team.
Entry fee includes all-you-can-eat Coney dog bar, chips, sweets and soft drinks.
There will be prizes for the first three places.
