PEMBERVILLE — Eastwood graduate Jim Rogers was sworn in as a new board member Thursday.
He was one of six applicants for the position, which opened when Ted Bowlus was elected as a county
commissioner.
According to board President Roger Bostdorff, the board interviewed all six applicants.
“They were all very good applicants,” he said.
Rogers is a founding member of the district’s business advisory committee.
An attorney, he teaches part time entrepreneurship and business ethics in law at Bowling Green State
University.
Rogers is a 1980 Eastwood graduate and his three children also have graduated from the district.
“I thought this would be a good opportunity to be more involved in the community,” he said about his
interest in a board seat.
He is a 1984 BGSU graduate and a 1986 University of Toledo Law School graduate.
He works at Semro Henry and Barga in Toledo conducting business litigation and estate planning.
