Utilities meeting canceled
The Bowling Green Board of Public Utilities meeting scheduled for Monday has been canceled due to a lack
of official business for board action.
The next meeting will be held Jan. 23 in council chambers at the City Administrative Services Building,
304 N. Church St.
BG, BGSU commission meets Tuesday
The Bowling Green City-University Relations Commission will meet in Room 315 of the Bowen-Thompson
Student Union on the campus of Bowling Green State University, on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Crash near Levis hurts one
PERRYSBURG — One person was taken to an area hospital in a crash reported Dec. 30 in the city.
Perrysburg Police report that at 7:02 p.m. Melinda Gallant, Bowling Green, was traveling southbound on
Ohio 25 in a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country near Levis Commons Boulevard, and had a green light.

At that time, Hattie Strong, Maumee, driving a 2012 Honda Civic, was in the left turn lane of northbound
Ohio 25, also with a green light.
Strong then failed to yield and turned left in front of Gallant’s vehicle, causing the crash.
Strong sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to Toledo Hospital by Perrysburg EMS.
Two of Gallant’s passengers, Jacob Gallant, and Jenna Gallant, both of Bowling Green, reported possible
injuries and were seen by Perrysburg medics.
Strong was cited for failure to yield.
