Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has announced his nominations from Ohio’s Fifth Congressional
District for consideration for acceptance into the United States Air Force, Merchant Marine, Military,
and Naval Academies in the Class 2021.
Local students nominated include:
•    U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado
Bryce Cherko, Perrys-burg, Rossford High School
Noah Flack, Bowling Green, Maumee Valley Country Day School
Samantha Lolo, Perrys-burg, Perrysburg High School
•    U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland
Winifred Barchick-Suter, Perrysburg, Perrys-burg High School
•    U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King’s Point, New York
Zachary Bozinger, Bowling Green, St. Frances de Sales High School
There were no local students nominated to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York.
A nomination does not guarantee acceptance to an academy; that responsibility rests with their admissions
office.
