White privilege discussion topic in BG
Beginning Sunday, First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green will begin an exploration of the topic of
white privilege and what it means.
The sessions will attempt to dive into the vision of the beloved community where all God’s children live
as members of one family.
Debby Irving’s book, “Waking Up White, and Finding Myself in the Story of Race,” will be the anchor for
the study and conversation.
The first discussions of the book will follow Coffee Hour at the church on Sundays through Jan. 29.
Copies are available at the Wood County District Public Library, through Amazon and through the church
office by special order. Discussion sessions will be scheduled throughout the coming months.
