BG FFA’s food science team places 11th in Ohio

The fall months were busy with preparation and participation in Career Development Events for the Bowling
Green FFA.
The recent CDE contest saw the BG FFA’s Food Science team take the top spot in the district. That win
advanced them to the state contest where they finished 11th.
Team members were Nolan Brennan, Zach Tussing, Sid Grames and Gus Eschedor.
Other teams in recent competition included the following:
•    Rural Soil Judging team members Austin Fiebelkorn, Eschedor, Jeremiah Taylor, Adam Wagner, Gracyn
Amos, Evan Rosendale and Cassidy Hendricks placed third in the county and 16th in the district. Team
members evaluated soils and determine their capability to be used for farmland. After evaluating the
soil, members had to make recommendations for future use.  
•    The following job interview participants placed in their respective divisions at the county job
interview contest. Susie Foos, first; Cate Korsnack, second, Sam Eiben, third; Lily Parker, sixth;
Hendricks, sixth;  Micaela McLaughlin, sixth; and Camille Lorenzen, fourth. Due to their first place
finishes, Foos and Korsnack moved on to districts where Foos placed second and Korsnack placed first,
qualifying her for the state contest. Korsnack then placed seventh in the state contest.
•    Parliamentary Procedure participants Jeremy Christoff, Brennan, Noah Nietz, Lorenzen, Foos and
Alexis Fiebelkorn placed fourth in the county.
