Two people were charged July 2 with drag racing following a early morning incident. Stephen Moore, 25,
of Rudolph and Kayla Noelle Batch, 23, of Toledo, were each cited at 12:11 a.m. from an incident on
Mermill Road near Rudolph Road. Batch was also cited for expired registration.
At 11:21 p.m. July 4 in the 9000 block of Huffman Road, an emergency squad was called for a 5-month-old
burned on the head from fireworks. The mother also had burns on her arm.
A laptop computer was found along the side of the road in the 24000 block of Lemoyne Road. The owner was
contacted and would be retrieved through the sheriff’s office.
At 2 a.m. July 5, deputies were summoned to a domestic violence call in the 13000 block of High Street in
Weston.
At 11:10 a.m. a FedEx package with a phone in it was reported stolen along with a mini-fridge from the
front porch in the 100 block of Center Street in Weston.
At 12:20 p.m. July 6there was a report of loose cattle in the 22000 block of Caris Road. A neighbor
helped corral the animals.
At 5:48 p.m. in the 20000 block of Ohio 25, there was a report of wood being stolen from a tree farm.
At 8:28 a.m. July 7, there was a report of four stolen 4-wheelers from a garage in the 2800 block of
Fostoria Road (U.S. Highway 23)
At 1:13 p.m., a resident of Silver Street in Weston complained of the neighbor’s chickens continuing to
come into the complainant’s yard.
At 9:06 p.m., the deputies were called to report there was a camper setting up camp in the Eastwood High
School parking lot on Sugar Ridge Road.
