PERRYSBURG — Sara Stockwell, Ed.S. is being recommended to the Perrysburg Schools Board of Education to
be named executive director of Pupil Services effective Aug. 1.
Charlotte Thompson is being recommended to begin Aug. 1 as assistant director of Teaching and Learning.

Stockwell began her career at Harbor Behavioral Healthcare where she helped clients with an assortment of
disabilities to overcome barriers to employment. She then joined Lutheran Social Services of Northwest
Ohio where she served as director of Open Door & Crossroads Family Resource Centers. She then
served as a school psychologist for Perrysburg Schools from 2009 to 2012. She then worked as a school
improvement consultant for the State Support Team, Region 1, where she served many school districts in
the region in the area of special education. She later returned to Perrysburg where she currently serves
as assistant director of Teaching and Learning.
“We’re so fortunate to have Sara bring her breadth of experience with her as she steps into this new
role,” stated Thomas L. Hosler, Superintendent. “We have a great team here and the fact that she has
worn so many hats not only in our district, but in the special education community—serving both student
and adult populations—makes her a great fit for this position.”
Stockwell and the Pupil Services Department will host school-based special education nights in the fall,
so she and her team may answer questions and get to know the families.
Thompson comes to the district from Springfield Local School District, where she served as director of
Curriculum and Instruction. She began her career as a 5th grade teacher and has extensive experience
developing curriculum in community schools as well as traditional public schools.
“We’re very happy to welcome Charlotte to the district,” stated Kadee Anstadt, executive director of
Teaching and Learning. “Her career path from the classroom to leadership in curriculum development makes
her ideal for this position. We’re so excited to have her energy and expertise on our team.”
