To the Editor:
I feel that schools should have more calamity days. They always seem to get used up way too quickly. In
January this year, my school has used up all of its calamity days already. Now, if we cancel school
anymore, we have to tack on extra days at the end of the year, or we have to do Blizzard Bags. If we
have more calamity days, we would be able to have more time during the summer. If we have a winter like
the one in 2013-2014, we wouldn’t have enough calamity days. In that bad winter last year, we went to my
school for 7 days. Then we had to make up a lot of days and do a lot of Blizzard Bags.
