CLEVELAND – The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team has been picked to finish
second in the Mid-American Conference East, in voting by the coaches.Akron was picked the win the MAC East
and Central Michigan is the MAC West favorite.Additionally, Falcon senior Alexis Rogers was selected to the
preseason All-MAC team.The vote totals were not released by the league office.The complete poll is: East, 1)
Akron; nine first-place votes; 2) Bowling Green, three first-place votes; 3) Buffalo; 4) Miami; 5) Ohio; 6)
Kent State; and West, 1) Central Michigan, 12 first-place votes; 2) Ball State; 3) Toledo; 4) Eastern
Michigan; 5) Western Michigan; 6) Northern Illinois.Central Michigan receives nine votes to win the MAC
tournament while Bowling Green, Akron, and Miami each received one.The preseason all-conference team are:
