Jack L. Shaffer, age 78, of Cygnet, OH, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Bridge
Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, OH.He was born on February 27, 1935 in Cygnet, OH to Glenn and Ruby
(Atkin) Shaffer. On April 27, 1957 he married Lois Morlock in Bowling Green, OH and she preceded him in
death on Nov. 8, 2002.Jack was a life long farmer and a self-employed tile drain contractor.His
memberships included: Dayspring Assembly of God, Bowling Green, OH and the Wood County Farm Bureau. In
his spare time he loved gardening, nature, all kinds of animals, travelling and spending time with his
grandchildren and great grandchildren.Jack is survived by his children: Becky (Tim) Schult of
Pemberville, OH, Kathy (Frank) McAfee of Hilliard, OH, David (Meagon) Shaffer of Portage, OH, 7
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother: Larry (Janet) Shaffer of Cygnet, OH and sister: Sharon
Apple of Cygnet, OH.He was preceded in death by his parents: Glenn and Ruby Shaffer, wife: Lois and
daughter: Nancy Shaffer.Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 15,2013 from 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, Ohio.Funeral services will be
conducted on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Dayspring Assembly of God, Bowling Green, OH,
where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Officiating will be Pastor
Scott Estep. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wayne, OH.There will be a bereavement luncheon
served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.Memorial contributions may be
