Lightning strikes Indiana summer camp, three kids hurt

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis police say three childrenwere injured when lightning struck a
summer camp on the north side ofthe city, including one child who was critically hurt.OfficerKendale
Adams says the critically injured child was taken toIndianapolis St. Vincent Hospital, but the child’s
condition wasn’timmediately known. The other two were taken to Riley Hospital forChildren in stable
condition.Witnesses told police that thechildren were injured when lightning struck shortly before 2
p.m.Saturday at the Goldman Union Camp Institute, a Reform Jewish summercamp.Adams says he didn’t have
ages or genders of the victims because camp officials didn’t want the information released.The camp
