Separation and divorce support group to meetMAUMEE – First Presbyterian Church of Maumee (FPC)
will offer a separation and divorce recovery support group beginning next Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The nondenominational 13-week program called DivorceCare is free and open to the public.The class is for
anyone who is separated, going through a divorce, or have been divorced for any period of time. The
video program is based on Biblical teachings and covers a different topic each week. Lessons and
discussions are included.Weekly topics include the road to healing and finding help, facing anger,
depression, and loneliness, new relationships, financial survival, child care, forgiveness,
reconciliation, and moving on.Any adult can join at any time during the 13-week period. To pre-register

Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register
for the GriefShare program held at First Presbyterian Church of Maumee, 200 E. Broadway St. The
winter/spring session of the 13-week program will take place Tuesdays at 6 p.m. from Feb. 26 until May
21.This nondenominational program features biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated
with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life
stories of people. A small group discussion follows.Each two-hour session begins with a light dinner,
followed by the presentation. It is led by Elder Vickie Secord. GriefShare is open to any member of the
