Shelby George, Wayne, was named to the summer semester dean’s list at the University
Northwestern Ohio. She is in the college of business. She is the daughter of
Kenneth and Cynthia George and is an Elmwood High School graduate.
These area students are enrolled as freshmen at the University of Findlay.
Chelsi Bodi, a criminal justice administration major, is a 2012 graduate of Elmwood
High School and the daughter of Michelle Bodi, Wayne, and Sean Bodi, Cygnet.
Bodi was active in Spanish Club, art, GLC, PCA, National Honor Society,
cheerleading, track and volunteering. She received a merit award and other
academic honors. Bodi was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship from the UF.
Justin Burket, a pre-veterinary medicine major, is a 2012 graduate of Eastwood High
School and the son of Lisa and Greg Burket, Perrysburg. Burket was awarded the
President’s Scholarship.
Peighton Hagemeyer, an animal science/pre-veterinary medicine major, is a 2012
graduate of Otsego High School and the daughter of Tami and Dave Hagemeyer,
Bowling Green. Hagemeyer was active in student council, basketball, cross
country and track. She was awarded The University of Findlay Award.
Kris Hayward, a criminal justice administration major, is a 2012 graduate of Eastwood
High School and the son of Joanne and Rick Hayward, Luckey. Hayward was active
in baseball and football. He was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship.
Jessica Mckenzie, a pre-medicine major, is a 2012 graduate of Elmwood High School and
the daughter of Susiet Lincoln Rowell, Risingsun. Mckenzie was presented with
the Community Development Award and awarded the Dean’s Scholarship.
Courtney Rolf, an education major, is a 2012 graduate of Eastwood High School and the
daughter of Debbie and Chip Rolf, Pemberville. Rolf was active in volleyball.
She was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship and a volleyball scholarship.
Saige Smith, an education major, is a 2012 graduate of Eastwood High School and the
daughter of Stacy and David Smith, Luckey. Smith was active in soccer and was
awarded The University of Findlay Award and a soccer scholarship.
