PERRYSBURG – Residents will notice a slight increase on their next property tax bill.
Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve a special street tree assessment to the taxes, to go
into effect immediately.
The assessment, amounting to $100,000 total, will go toward the removal and treatment of trees along
public thoroughfares afflicted with infestations and blight, and the care of other trees along streets.

The measure is expected to raise the property taxes of an average household by less than $10.
In other business, council heard that contract negotiations are moving forward with Missouri-based
transit firm Ride Right LLC, which was chosen by council to take over public transportation in the city
beginning in January.
