Fire kills two women Ohio at home in southern Ohio

RUSH, Ohio (AP) — Two women have been killed in a house fire in a town in far southern Ohio.
The
state fire marshal’s office says the two died in a blaze early Tuesday
in Rush, a rural area north of Portsmouth in Scioto County.
The
cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. Authorities said it started
in the rear of the home near the kitchen, heavily damaging the
structure.
The women’s names and ages weren’t immediately released. The fire marshal’s office described them as
elderly.
It’s not clear if there were smoke alarms in the house. None were found during the initial investigation.
