Bowling Green made it through a stormy weekend with some damage to trees but
relatively little disruption of electrical service.
The city was also able to send two electric crews on a mutual aid run to Ohio City
south of Van Wert Friday night and part of Saturday.
Director of Utilities Brian O’Connell said the BG’s electric operation had
"minor issues," with problems in the Tontogany area and some isolated
areas on the edge of the city. "There were no long-term outages," he
said.
The mutual aid program works among members of American Municipal Power-Ohio.
O’Connell said the crews helped repair lines in Ohio City. However, after repairs
were completed that community’s system could not be charged because the power
feed was out of service.
