Kiwanis to hear about BGSU/vet connections

A Bowling Green State University administrator will enlighten the Bowling Green
Kiwanis Club on a program that builds bridges between BGSU and veterans and
their families at noon on Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Dr. Barbara Henry, the vice-president for non-traditional and transfer students, is
beginning her third year heading the program that is designed to help veterans
to re-intergrate into the campus setting. The wide-ranging program helps active
duty members of the military, National Guardsman and retiring service personnel
in areas ranging from the admissions process, using educational benefits from
their service time and making connections on campus.
Henry earned her masters degree from BGSU in 1995 and her doctorate in 2003. She has
served as an administrator since 2003.
